Lost and found

Why no new posts on Western Rohan? Not a single screenshot from Meduseld or Helm’s Deep?

Well, with some embarassement I have to admit that as I was heading for the new areas, I noticed that I did not actually do Wildermore Epic. At all. I’ve done all the other quests, completed Wildermore storyline, but completely skipped the Epic. No wonder I was a little lost there.

The completionist in my does not allow me to move forward till I make up for that.

I see Red

For a start, let’s try with a pure red build for Ereg.

Red

Red

I chose everything red, except for:
- Perserverence (either the tooltip is wrong or I understand it wrongly or it’s completely useless)
- More than one level of Fast Draw (seems the first level gives me the most and I had to resign from something)
- Hail of Arrows (I can’t recall shooting series of Rain of Arrows anyways)

From other lines I chose
- Tripwire from Yellow (just to check it)
- Five levels of Quick Draw from Blue (though Impact Arrows also looked nice)

Into the Deep

So, after good two hours of downloading updated, I’m in.

First of all I was, as usual, greeted with a large list of adjustments on the chat. For now skipping all the deed information connected to class deeds, as it was expected and there’s far too much of it to analyze now, I took a look at some other ones.

Rest of my Bounder Tokens was converted into Marks (as expected), also my Seals (all four of them!) turned into Medallions (I forgot that would happen…).

As for non-class deeds info – “Completed: Thespian” made me smile – how long was it since that Winterhome where I earned it?

Also, I’ve earned 135 TPs. For… something.

So now – let’s descend into that famous Skill Tree.

Helm’s Delay

With Helm’s Deep coming, LOTRO Slow Motion is returning once more. With Helm’s Deep delay (till 20th instead of 18th), blog comeback is delayed as well.

Still, it’s a reason to make a content-less post.

From time to time you just have to do this. Forget about your 85 level character, legendary items, endgame tokens and return to Shire or Bree.

Log in as an alt in his twenties. Choose a class you barely know. Read skill tooltips you could swear you’ve never seen before. Visit some once extremely familiar places, like Barrow Downs.

This was my case. My 15 level champion Hallvar had his day.

It’s getting more and more difficult to observe changes that appear when I choose some improvement in Hytbold. It’s often called “Improvements XII” or something, and the building is located at the other side of a town. And when I arive there… well, I can only guess. Maybe this bush here is new, or maybe it was here from the beginning, and I just wasn’t paying enough attention.

However some changes are visible and noteworthy. Mead-hall improvements that is. With quite a number of them done recently I now have a Milestone and a Mailbox. More importantly, and in a response for previous complains, there is a Provisioner and a Supplier inside, not to mention a Bard and a Barber.

(Speaking of Barber – for a countless time I tried to improve my character’s looks, and it’s still completely hopeless).

From previous days I forgot to mention that I finally know what Gangfinda is for. After building the Lumber-mill the horse can take me to the first crafting instance, where I can gather lots of wood and some Effort Tokens to be swapped for Relics or IXP I guess. Not really important to me at the moment.

I’ve also reached Ally reputation with Cliving now, so I have another part of town to expand (till now it was only the central part and Entwash Vale region).
Speaking of Entwash, I have successfully done every kind of quest they have, so I can now switch focus to other places until I have all four (or five in fact) deeds complete.

Entwash Complete

As I am such a close friend to Eaworth and its surroundings, I’ve put a couple of tokens into things and decorations there, resulting in some rather lively tents, with flower busher around them and all.

Next time there will be some more about strange quests I have to do. And strange quests they are indeed.

The cycle took a little break, not due to laziness (surprisingly), but as a result of external circumstances which prevented me from posting or doing dailies at all.

I mostly did already known quests to make it as quick as possible, and did not have time to take decent pictures (to be exact – did not have time to wait for daylight to take screenshots).

As for more interesting questing, I’ve played the role of a fireman (Siege of Faldham: Inferno, Siege of Faldham: Holding the Line)

As a siege specialist, I also helped Eaworth – with orcs (Siege of Eaworth: Uruks of the Vale) and catapults (Siege of Eaworth: Catapults).

Finally I took part in a strange race that forced me to ride through beams of light (The Race). Coincidentally I’ve just changed my steed to light, which was a significant help.

I’ve added some useless, but nicely looking buildings to Hytbold.

And finally – something useful. A Superior Workbench.

Unfortunately there’s no Provisioner around, so it still can’t be used as a functional Tailor outpost for me.
